The Price is Wrong B****

Well, with AKO being probed…err, I mean examined by various medical professionals anxious to get their man hands on him; he needed someone to fill in for a bit…ala me. There are a variety of topics I would like to cover before AKO realizes what he has done in inviting me (such as how good Sloan would look in a mullet, how Matt Harpring injured his knee in a Mexican Disco, and the Jazz Bear’s longing to be a sheep…helped over the fence by someone with big strong hands and Velcro gloves (Karl Malone anyone?)), but due to space and a short attention span I will limit myself to two topics of the most important nature. 1) Did Gordan Giricek really audition for the Backstreet boys? And 2) Is the price really right with Ronnie Price?

Ok, the first answer is obvious; Giricek didn’t actually audition for the Backstreet Boys per se… security wouldn’t allow it. Although it is widely rumored that he has a long standing infatuation with being the front boy in a boy band. It appears that he and Backstreet bad boy Nick Carter even got into a heated debate over whose black jeans were tighter. Needless to say Nick won the argument; although many present still believe that Gordan’s jeans were and are still are tighter (could be the reason he’s not married and has no kids???).

Secondly, is the Price right with Ronnie Price? Answer: Who cares? The Jazz’s accumulation of guards is turning there roster into a fleet of Yugos. Isn’t one enough? Just like AKO’s posts; more is not better for the sake of having more. If your going to grab another guard (8 by my count) then freaking upgrade! Price is not an upgrade; he’s just another player holding onto the very thin and fragile NBA rope! If the Jazz didn’t sign him; would’ve anyone been surprised to hear about him playing in Israel or some other forsaken foreign league next year? Signing guards is turning into some kind of fetish with O’Connor; and not the latex and spanking kind that we all enjoy. Now I’m not saying Price is a bad player; he’s just not better than what we’ve already got.

The worse part of this sordid tale is that is surely means the end of Dee Brown’s tenure with the Jazz. With Dee you get a player with personality, someone that plays with passion, has charisma, and he eats at CafĂ© Rio (one of my favs)…we will miss him. It seems a shame we have to part with a fan favorite and a player with experience in the Sloan system; for something we’ve already got.

Anyone need a Yugo?
